Abstract:
The present invention attains an assistance system capable of dealing with the particularity of travelling of a saddle-type vehicle. The present invention also attains a control method for the assistance system. The present invention involves: acquiring surrounding environment information on a saddle-type vehicle (100) on the basis of an output from at least one surrounding environment detection device (11); determining the presence or absence of traveling through by the saddle-type vehicle (100) between vehicle sequences, on the basis of the surrounding environment information; transmitting, upon determination of the presence of traveling through between the vehicle sequences, a trigger signal through wireless communication from a control device (20) of the saddle-type vehicle (100) to other control devices (120); and, upon reception of the trigger signal by the other control devices (120), executing an other vehicle driver assistance operation for assisting drivers of the other vehicles (200) positioned around the saddle-type vehicle (100).
