Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electronic apparatus having a novel configuration. This electronic apparatus comprises a display device, a line-of-sight detection unit, and a computation unit. The display device has a display unit divided into a plurality of sub-display sections, and a functional circuit having a brightness conversion circuit. The line-of-sight detection unit has a function of detecting a user's line of sight. The computation unit has a function of allocating, using the detection results from the line-of-sight detection unit, each of the plurality of sub-display sections to a first area or a second area. The functional circuit has a function of performing display of sub-display sections included in the first area at a first drive frequency and performing display of sub-display sections included in the second area at a second drive frequency lower than the first drive frequency. The brightness conversion circuit has a function of converting image data displayed in the second area into image data the brightness of which is reduced in the display of the sub-display sections.
