Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to achieve, through the use of a simple method, an improvement in the temperature uniformity of reaction liquids in a plurality of reaction containers held by a heat block. The present invention is provided with: a heat block having a plurality of positions at which reaction containers are mounted, the reaction containers each being filled with a reaction liquid in which a reagent and a specimen are mixed; and a band-shaped heater which heats the heat block. The band-shaped heater is installed by being wound around the outer periphery of the heat block so that both end regions of the band-shaped heater are adjacent to each other. The band-shaped heater is provided with: a heating resistive body which generates heat by energization; an insulating film which is disposed so that the heating resistive body is inserted therein and which is thereby electrically insulated from the outside; and first and second power supply wires which are attached to both ends of the heating resistive body and supply power to the heating resistive body. The present invention is characterized in that the width of the heating resistive body in both of the end regions of the band-shaped body is smaller than the width of the heating resistive body in other regions.
