Abstract:
Provided is a molding sand supply device for supplying molding sand in stable condition. In the molding sand supply device (12), molding sand (22) stored in a sand hopper (16) is supplied to the outside from an opening portion (28) by a belt conveyor (20). The opening portion is fitted with a cut gate (18), and the belt conveyor is operated for a predetermined time after the cut gate is closed. Accordingly, the molding sand that was left on the belt conveyor after the cut gate is closed is supplied to the outside and does not remain on the belt conveyor (20). Thus, it becomes possible to prevent molding sand left on the belt conveyor from becoming dried and being supplied to the outside during the next operation.
