Abstract:
This battery state of charge estimating device is provided with: a storage unit 3 which stores an SOC-OCV curve for charging, an SOC-OCV curve for discharging, and internal ratio information; and a state of charge estimating unit 4 which, if a capacity difference before and after charging when a battery B is charged from a state in which a point of intersection d1 of an open circuit voltage OCV and a state of charge SOC of the battery B is on the SOC-OCV curve for discharging, or a capacity difference before and after discharging when the battery B is discharged from a state in which a point of intersection c1 of the open circuit voltage OCV and the state of charge SOC of the battery B is on the SOC-OCV curve for charging is less than a threshold Cth, refers to the internal ratio information to obtain an internal ratio corresponding to the capacity difference, and estimates the state of charge of the battery B using the obtained internal ratio, the open circuit voltage of the battery B when a prescribed length of time T2 has elapsed after the completion of charging or discharging, the SOC-OCV curve for charging and the SOC-OCV curve for discharging.
