Abstract:
A bearing device for a wheel, applicable to a drive wheel and a driven wheel, wherein
the cost of a hub ring of the bearing device is reduced. A circular tube-like pilot
section (P) fitted in the inner periphery of a wheel (80) is formed at a bore section
of a brake rotor (70). As a result, the shape of the hub ring, particularly the
shape on the outboard side of the hub ring is simplified, and this enables the hub
ring to be produced at low cost by cold forging etc. An outer joint member (31)
of an outboard side constant velocity universal joint (30) and the hub ring (10)
are joined by a nut member (90).
