Disclosed in the present invention are a bed and column connection auxiliary device, and a method therefor. A first objective is to provide a bed and column connection auxiliary device, comprising an upper fixing block arranged on a column, a lower fixing block arranged on a bed, and a connection component for connecting the upper fixing block and the lower fixing block, wherein the connection component can connect the bed and the column together after alignment. The connection auxiliary device disclosed in the present invention can improve the assembly accuracy of the bed and the column and shorten the assembly cycle. A second objective is to provide a bed and column assembly method for a machine tool, the method comprising: arranging the upper fixing block and the lower fixing block, hoisting the column onto the bed, and performing manual coarse alignment; mounting the connection component; filling the space between the bed and the column with a structural adhesive; and keeping the column at rest in place until the structural adhesive is fully cured. The assembly method disclosed in the present invention replaces a scraping assembly method, and improves the assembly accuracy.
