Abstract:
Black alumina of the present invention is manufactured at an equivalent or superior level using domestic alumina raw materials by replacing Japanese alumina raw materials and black alumina, which have high unit prices due to Japan's export regulations, and thus has the effect of replacing conventional Japanese alumina raw materials or black alumina. A method for manufacturing black alumina, according to the present invention, is to establish the ratio of alumina and an additive and the sintering temperature for densification so that the black alumina can have low reflectance due to the black color thereof, while maintaining excellent mechanical properties of conventional alumina. In the present invention, liquid-phase sintering is carried out due to an additive during a sintering process. Thus, it is possible to densify the material at a temperature lower than 1600 °C, which is the alumina sintering temperature by conventional solid-state sintering, and thus, there is the advantage of being usable in a photo process by exhibiting low reflectance due to black color, as well as an economic advantage.
