Abstract:
In a conventional signaling system, there is room for improvement in reducing the time required from when a preceding train passes through a certain block until a following train can run in said block. In order to solve the above problem, for example, an on-board device receives a message and sends the received message to another device, said message circulating around the trains present within a route constituted by one or more blocks to which the right of occupation of a train is set and including block occupation right information enabling the setting of block occupation right for one train. The on-board device is characterized in that when the block occupation right is set by the message for a train on which the on-board device is mounted, the on-board device mounted on the train for which the right of occupation is set controls a point-switch present in the block to which the right of occupation is set, on the basis of the direction of movement of the train for which the right of occupation is set and by a method different from the circulation of the message.
