Abstract:

An new chitosan derivative-carboxymethyl chitosan quaternary ammonium salt derivative and preparation method thereof. Said derivative is the carboxymethyl chitosan quaternary ammonium salt derivative obtained through Schiff base formation, reduction and quaternary ammonium formation by using carboxymethyl chitosan which is the product of different molecular weight chitosan and chloroacetatic acid as the material to be modified. This kind of derivatives have good water solubility, and good antimicrobial activity and can be used in pharmaceuticals and agriculture field.
