Abstract:
A centrifugal field flow fractionation device according to the present invention comprises a control unit that controls the introduction of a liquid specimen by a specimen-introducing part and the rotation of a rotor by a motor. When the liquid specimen is introduced into a flow channel, the control unit causes the rotor to rotate at a first rotational speed. The first rotational speed is faster than a second rotational speed. As a result, it is possible to apply a high level of centrifugal force to the liquid specimen when the liquid specimen is introduced into the flow channel, and to suppress variations in particles in the liquid specimen introduced into the flow channel. In a state in which the flow of the liquid specimen within the flow channel has been stopped, the control unit causes the rotor to rotate at the second rotational speed, which is slower than the first rotational speed. As a result, it is possible to prevent a high level of centrifugal force from being constantly applied to the liquid specimen, and to suppress increases in the length of time required for analysis.
