The present application discloses a charging self-monitoring method and apparatus, a charging pile and a charging robot. The charging self-monitoring method comprises: S1, acquiring a relative position of a charging robot and a charging pile, so that charging contacts between the charging robot and the charging pile are in place; S2, acquiring identity information, performing impedance detection on the charging contacts, and determining the identity information by means of impedance detection results; and S3, starting charging. In a solution of the present application, the charging contacts between the charging robot and the charging pile are determined to be in place using in-place detection, so that the contact reliability of the charging contacts during charging can be ensured, thereby avoiding the phenomenon of sparking caused by point contact between the charging contacts, and improving charging safety. By means of identity verification detection, and using impedance detection results of the charging contacts as identity information, verification speed is high, and the charging robot is charged by a matched charging pile, thereby preventing the internal components of the charging robot from being damaged due to erroneous charging, and reducing the likelihood of damage.
