Abstract:
Each of a first communication instrument (1A) and a second communication instrument (1B) is constituted so as to be capable of carrying out vehicle-to-vehicle communication and cellular communication, with the state of cellular communication (e.g., vehicle speed) shared in vehicle-to-vehicle communication. The first communication instrument (1A) issues, considering the state of cellular communication between itself and other instruments, a request for vicarious execution of communication with an application server (4) to the second communication instrument (1B). To accept vicarious execution of communication, the second communication instrument (1B) acquires an unused port number from the first communication instrument (1A) and, after notifying a relay server (5) of the port number as a port number for vicarious execution of communication, carries out vicarious execution of communication. The vicarious execution of communication includes vicarious execution of upstream communication for uploading, by cellular communication, the data having been acquired by vehicle-to-vehicle communication and vicarious execution of downstream communication for transferring, by vehicle-to-vehicle communication, the data having been downloaded by cellular communication.
