Abstract:
A composite connector (1), a composite module, a composite cable assembly, and an optical plug (7). The composite connector (1) comprises an RJ-45 interface (11) and an optical plug (12). The optical plug (12) is disposed on the RJ-45 interface (11), and the optical plug (12) is configured so as not to interfere the matching between the RJ-45 interface (11) and an RJ-45 plug (8). The composite connector (1) integrates the optical plug (11) and an electrical plug together. The composite connector (1) not only has the function of transmitting optical and electrical signals, but also has the advantage of volume miniaturization, satisfying the miniaturization trend of switches and access point devices. In addition, the optical plug (12) does not interfere with the normal connection between a standard RJ-45 interface (8) and an RJ-45 plug (11), thereby enhancing the compatibility of the composite connector (1), simplifying the technique for manufacturing the composite connector (1), and reducing the manufacturing cost.
