Abstract:
An optical module comprising a housing (1), an optical component (2), and a power supply component (3). A second end of the housing (1) has a second socket (12). The second end of the housing is used for inserting into an end portion of an optical communication device. The optical component (2) comprises a second optical plug (23), and the power supply component (3) comprises a second electrical plug (33). The optical component (2) and the power supply component (3) are both inside of the housing (1). The second optical plug (23) and the second electrical plug (33) are both inside of the second socket (12), and the positions of the second optical plug (23) and of the second electrical plug (33) are mutually independent. A composite cable power supply connector is electrically connected to the optical communication device by means of the optical module. The composite cable power supply connector does not need to be inserted into the optical communication device, thereby conserving the panel space of the optical communication device, and facilitating the miniaturization trend of optical communication devices.
