Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition comprising a Suaeda glauca extract as an active ingredient for the prevention, alleviation, or treatment of liver diseases. The Suaeda glauca extract of the present invention exhibits excellent inhibitory effects on liver damage indices and the activation of hepatic stellate cells in a liver fibrosis-induced animal model. Therefore, the composition of the present invention is expected to be useful as a material in compositions for the prevention, alleviation, or treatment of liver diseases.
