Abstract:

Liquid compositions for oral use to be employed in interdental brushing which are excellent in convenience in using (for example, pushing out from a container, putting on a interdental brush, holding on a interdental brush, penetrating) and bactericidal activity, have a viscosity measured with a Brookfield viscometer at 30°C at 20 rpm of 20 to 300 ps, have a thixotropy index calculated in accordance with the following formula of 0.3 to 0.65: thixotropy index = log¿10?(M¿5?/M¿50?) wherein M¿5? represents an apparent viscosity at 5 rpm; and M¿50? represents an apparent viscosity at 50 rpm; and contain a water-soluble polymer.
