Abstract:

Provided are a female connector and a male connector having mounting pad terminals at both sides on the surface to be mounted onto a circuit substrate, and a connector structure using the female connector and the male connector. A female connector (C2) comprises: an insulating film (1); pad parts (8) formed on one surface (surface A) of the insulating film (1); a metal guide member (7) fixedly arranged covering the other surface (surface B) of the insulating film (1), the metal guide member (7) having an insulation coating applied thereon; female terminal parts (E), each constituted by a slit-like opening (9) that is formed penetrating, in the thickness direction, a pad part (8) and a portion of the insulating film (1) where that pad part (8) is located; through-holes, each having an area including a female terminal part (E) and formed by penetrating the metal guide member (7'); and mounting pad terminals formed on both sides on a surface (B) of the insulating film (1) with the surface of the mounting pad terminals projecting further than the surface of the metal guide member (7'), the mounting pad terminals electrically connecting to the pad parts (8). The connector structure is constituted by male terminal parts (D) of a male connector (C1) being inserted into the slit-like openings (9) from the surface (A) of the female connector.
