Title:
SPRAY GUN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/069326
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a spray gun that does not give rise to leakage during closure of a liquid passage at the forward end of a needle valve, and that enables the flow of liquid to be adjusted with high accuracy, even when a liquid agent is sprayed in very small amounts. A closure portion (80) for providing closure to a liquid agent liquid passage (24) by inducing an O-ring (78) retained on the needle valve (20) to abut against an abutment face (66) of a nozzle (66) and elastically deform is disposed to the upstream side of a valve portion (68), and a straight mating portion (82) is constituted by a female mating portion comprising a nozzle opening (60), and a male mating portion (70) of the needle valve (20). In the straight mating portion (82), at a point in time during forward movement of the needle valve (20), which time comes before the O-ring (78) abuts against the abutment face (66), and after the valve portion (68) of the needle valve (20) has reached the position at which the gap in relation to a throttle portion (62) of the nozzle opening (60) is smallest, the male mating portion (70) is inserted into and mated with the female mating portion, this mated state being maintained until the O-ring (78) abuts against the abutment face (66) and elastically deforms.
