This conveying device 1 comprises a permanent magnet 10 that is provided to a specimen rack 111 side, teeth 22 that are formed from second magnetic bodies, and windings 21 that are respectively wound around the periphery of the teeth 22, and the cross sectional area of the cross section of the portion of the teeth 22 that faces the permanent magnet 10 is larger than the cross sectional area of the other portion. Alternatively, the conveying device 1 comprises a permanent magnet 10 that is provided to a specimen rack 111 side, teeth 22 that are formed from second magnetic bodies, and windings 21 that are respectively wound around the periphery of the teeth 22, and the gap Lc between the permanent magnet 10 and the windings 21 and the gap Lt between the permanent magnet and the teeth 22 satisfy the relationship Lc>Lt.
