Abstract:
The present application discloses a current-driven display device that adopts an internal compensation scheme and can shorten a non-light emission period without causing the brightness of a display element to be unstable. In a period during which the voltage of a data signal line (Dj) is written to a pixel circuit (15), transistors (M4), (M6) are controlled so as to be in an off state, and transistors (M2), (M3), (M5) are controlled so as to be in an on state. Through this configuration, a diode connection is realized for a drive transistor (M1), a source terminal thereof is disconnected from a high level power source line (ELVDD), and a gate terminal thereof and an anode electrode of an organic EL element (OLED) are connected to an initialization voltage supply line (Vini). As a result, gate voltage (Vg) of the drive transistor (M1) and anode voltage (Va) of the organic EL element (OLED) are initialized, a voltage corresponding to the voltage of the data signal line (Dj) is held in a first capacitor (C1), and a threshold voltage of the drive transistor (M1) is held in a second capacitor (C2).
