Abstract:
A distance measuring device (10) is a device for detecting, by means of a light receiving unit (180), pulsed light emitted from a light source (14) and reflected by an object (30). The distance measuring device (10) is provided with an estimating unit (121). The estimating unit (121) uses a saturated waveform, which is a received light waveform generated by the light receiving unit (180) that has received the pulsed light, and in a portion of which a received light signal is saturated, to estimate a peak position of the pulsed light. Here, the estimating unit (121) identifies a provisional peak position using a plurality of data points, including a saturation starting point, among the saturated waveform. Further, the estimating unit (121) identifies a correction parameter on the basis of a saturation width of the saturated waveform. Furthermore, the estimating unit (121) estimates a peak position of the pulsed light by correcting the provisional peak position using the identified correction parameter.
