Abstract:
A solution having polyfluorovinylidene as a binder dissolved in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone
is loaded with an electrode active material containing bismuth (Bi) powder,
the binder and acetylene black as a conductive agent in a weight ratio of, for example,
85:10:5 and milled together to thereby obtain a slurry as an electrode mixture.
The acetylene black has a specific surface area of, for example, 92 m2/g
and a primary particle diameter of about 35 nm. Thereafter, according to the doctor
blade method, a copper foil of electric collector is coated with the obtained
slurry, dried in vacuum and flatted by the use of flatting roller, thereby forming
an active material layer. A working electrode tab is fitted thereto, thereby
finalizing a working electrode.
