Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an electronic device for controlling the operation of a local oscillator for wireless communication, and a method therefor. To this end, the electronic device may determine a frequency shift value, for obtaining the frequency of a target local oscillation signal, in consideration of sub-carrier-related information to be used for a wireless signal to be received through at least one antenna, and may generate a local oscillation signal having a reference frequency shifted to coincide with the frequency of the target local oscillation signal in consideration of the frequency shift value. The electronic device may down-convert the wireless signal, received through the at least one antenna, into a baseband signal by using the local oscillation signal generated by the local oscillator. The electronic device may correct errors in the down-converted baseband signal caused by the shifting of the reference frequency. Various other embodiments may also be possible.
