Abstract:

In the present invention, a lens control means (221) controls an optical lens and changes the optical zoom factor. A photoelectric conversion element (31) performs photoelectric conversion on an image that was formed by the optical lens. An electronic zoom means (222) changes the electronic zoom factor of the picked up image from the photoelectric conversion element. An instruction means (5) gives an instruction for enlarging or reducing the size of the image. When the instruction means gives an instruction, an operation selection instruction means (6) gives an instruction for selecting a first setting which is performed by the optical zoom, a second setting which is performed by the electronic zoom, or a third setting which is performed by the optical zoom and the electronic zoom in coordination. A parameter setting means (224) sets the parameters of the lens control means and the parameters of the electronic zoom means that correspond to the instruction means and the operation selection instruction means. A zoom control means (225), on the basis of each parameter, sends control signals to the lens control means and the electronic zoom means.
