Abstract:
It is intended to provide an enzyme chip which makes it possible to simultaneously and efficiency assay a plural number of enzyme activities and a method of enzyme-specific and activity-dependent enzyme activity assay with the use of this enzyme chip. It is also intended to provide a high throughput method of screening an enzyme activity-controlling substance by which a substance capable of controlling enzyme activity can be efficiently searched for. It is further intended to provide an automated system for carrying out the above methods. A cysteine protease-immobilized chip for assaying enzyme activity wherein a plural number of cysteine proteases differing from each other are provided respectively at a plural number of positions differing from each other on a substrate; and a method of specifically and activity-dependently assaying the biological activity of a cysteine protease with the use of an affinity label.
