EVALUATION METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CAPACITOR REQUIREMENT IN POWER DELIVERY NETWORK

Provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure are an evaluation method and device for a capacitor requirement in a power delivery network. The power delivery network comprises at least one power supply line, wherein each power supply line is provided with a plurality of nodes, each node is connected to a plurality of capacitors connected in parallel, and each capacitor is correspondingly provided with a control switch. The method comprises: executing a plurality of adjustment operations, and when each adjustment operation is completed, measuring an IR drop of a power supply line and an operation speed of a load module, wherein each adjustment operation is used for adjusting, by means of control switches, equivalent capacitance values of a plurality of capacitors corresponding to at least one node; and determining ideal capacitance values of different nodes on the power supply line according to IR drops and operation speeds, which are measured after the plurality of adjustment operations are completed. By means of the embodiments of the present disclosure, ideal capacitance values and positions of capacitors required on the power supply line in the power delivery network can be effectively evaluated, thereby effectively reducing an IR drop on the power supply line, and also guaranteeing the operation speed of the load module.
