Abstract:
This ferrule (30) comprises: a tip surface (32); an opening section (33a) provided on the opposite side to the tip surface (32) in a first direction crossing the tip surface (32); a plurality of fiber grooves (40) which extend in the first direction between the tip surface (32) and the opening section (33a), are arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction, and can support each of a plurality of optical fibers; and a plurality of lenses (31c) disposed on the respective extension lines of the plurality of fiber grooves (40). The fiber grooves (40) have: a first fiber groove section (41) for positioning the optical fibers with respect to the lenses (31c); and a second fiber groove section (42) for introducing the optical fibers into the first fiber groove section (41). The first fiber groove section (41) is disposed in the first direction to be closer to the lens (31c) than the second fiber groove section (42).
