Provided is a battery lease system which can rationalize the burden of a user when using a battery, and can effectively prompt the purchase of an electric vehicle or the like. This battery lease system receives input of estimated basic information, estimates an estimated degradation state at the expiration of the scheduled lease period, determines a first lease fee for the battery, receives input of information indicating that the first lease has started, and stores the information in a storage unit. The battery lease system also acquires battery information necessary for determining the degradation state of a battery returned upon the end of the first lease of the battery, determines the degradation state of the returned battery, and again determines the first lease fee on the basis of the estimated degradation state and the degradation state of the returned battery.
