Title:
FILM, OR FIBER, OF MODIFIED CYCLODEXTRIN, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/085404
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A dye-modified cyclodextrin film, such as a medicinal wafer or other packaging film (for example, films for packing food and medicine, and package that upon leakage of food, exhibits a color change), whose wide application to pharmaceuticals, foods, agricultural chemicals, etc. is promising. There is provided a dye-modified cyclodextrin film comprised of a dye-modified cyclodextrin resulting from modification of &agr -cyclodextrin with p-methyl red, wherein the p-methyl red has a structure enclosed by the &agr -cyclodextrin of a cyclodextrin modified with a dye other than the p-methyl red, so that dye-modified cyclodextrin molecules accomplish high-order linkage to each other to thereby form a molecular assembly.
