Title:
GARAGE IN ROTATORY DRUM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/142685
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Patent of invention of a rotary garage drum consisting of four or more chambers 3 joined together and by a longitudinal central axis parallel to the ground 2, forming a cylindrical assembly 1 forming four individual garages, may be installed suspended, fig. A, to be installed several Rotary Garages aligned on the axis, fig. C, for parking of multiple vehicles, or installed partially buried, fig. B, to the shelter of four vehicles. Each chamber has a capacity for a vehicle that remains on the floor parallel to the ground 4 which is always in the horizontal, being balanced by pulleys 5, this floor is a treadmill 6 responsible for the longitudinal movement of the vehicle to enter and exit the garage.

CLAIMS

1) "GARAGE IN ROTARY DRUM", characterized by an outer rotatable cylinder (Ϊ), around a central axis 2, driven by an engine 7, which possesses a number of 4 or more internal drum 3, than can accommodate vehicles parked inside 4? on horizontal platforms 6 maintained at level by pulleys 5.

2) "GARAGE IN ROTARY DRUM", characterized by the possibility of having a sequence of two or more outer cylinders 8, both with the same operating system may also possess engines 9 in the to of the cylinders.

Description:
Garage in rotary drum

The external structure has the form of a cylinder 1 with longitudinal axis parallel to the groimd 2, with a length greater than the diameter of an automobile and transversal containment just sufficient for four or more chambers, cylinder 3, which are individual vacancies of garage 4. These chambers are parallel to the outer cylinder, equidistant from the axis of the entire structure (which coincides with the axis of the outer cylinder) and are maximally approximate, with the cylinder of each garage at track level and fixed to the cylinder of the two adjacent garages, and also fixed to the inner face of the outer cylinder.

The outer cylinder 1 (or rotar drain) does not move in relation to the garages, and the whole structure behaves as a single piece whose weight is supported by the central axis 2, around which the drum can rotate. The driving force is gear driven by the electric engine 7 positioned laterally to its external circumference.

The chamber size is large enough for a common vehicle with the doors closed, each chamber carries a flat floor that is always parallel to the floor 4, since this floor glides over pulleys 5 per share of its own weight. This floor is covered with a treadmill 6 responsible for moving the vehicle int and out of the garage. Then, the treadmill is driven to drive the vehicle until it is completely within the vacancy. To remove the vehicle the treadmill is operated to drive the vehicle out of the garage.

Access in and out in the garage in the rotary dram is made just for one side of the outer cylinder, and only one or two vacancies. The rotary dram may be suspended, fig. A, or partially, fig. B,

Two or more garages S into equal-sized rotary drum can be constructed and aligned on the axis separated by a few centimeters, fig. C. This small ga is required so that the garages separately rotating and for shaft support structures, hut allows the treadmills of the floor transfer the vehicle between two aligned chambers.

When there are two rotary aligned garages, leave an empty vacancy in the garage above fig. A., allows access to any of the vehicles without the need to execute a maneuver, or inserting a vehicle in any of four vacancies of the rear garage. To access a specific vacancy in rear rotary dr m, simply align the desired vacancy in the empty vacancy in the garage before. The same principle permits the use of different garages in rotary drum aligned. Any vacancy ma be accessed for insertin or removin the vehicle, provided there is an empty vacancy each of the rotary drums. In the last rotary drum, four vacancies can be used.

This idea aims to create a super-exploitation of land area, significantly improving the land use, bringing solutions to the lack of space around the world, allowing also increase the safety of vehicles as the theft of it and also fr om its interior, since ther is no space for the openin of the doors in the chambers.

The materials used to manufacture the garage are metals, fibers and rubbers.

Actuation of the garage must be performed by electronic means.
