Abstract:
The present invention relates to a gene expression cassette for expressing an N-terminal methionine-truncated protein of interest, the gene expression cassette comprising a nucleic acid coding for a protein of interest and a nucleic acid coding for cysteine protease, wherein a cysteine protease recognizing sequence is inserted between the first N-terminal amino acid methionine (Met) and the second N-terminal amino acid in the protein of interest and the N-terminal methionine is digested by the cysteine protease, and to a method for producing an N-terminal methionine-truncated protein of interest by using same.
