Abstract:

This green compact production method comprises: a step of filling with powder a space composed of a die hole provided on a die and a lower punch; and a step of compressing the powder filling the space by the lower punch and an upper punch to obtain a green compact. The green compact comprises: a prismatic body having a first bottom face, a second bottom face opposite to the first bottom face, and a plurality of lateral faces; a first plate portion provided on the first bottom face; and a second plate portion provided on the second bottom face. The plurality of lateral faces comprise: a front face and a back face arranged in parallel to each other along an axis of the body; a left lateral face connecting the front face and the back face; and a right lateral face connecting the front face and the back face. The first plate portion comprises: a first protrusion protruding from the body in a direction orthogonal to the axis; a first front face and a first back face arranged in parallel to each other along the axis; a first left lateral face connecting the first front face and the first back face; and a first right lateral face connecting the first front face and the first back face. The first left lateral face and the first right lateral face each include a region that is inclined such that a distance therebetween increases from the first front face toward the first back face. The second plate portion comprises: a second protrusion protruding from the body in the direction orthogonal to the axis; a second front face and a second back face arranged in parallel to each other along the axis; a second left lateral face connecting the second front face and the second back face; and a second right lateral face connecting the second front face and the second back face. The upper punch comprises: a main lower face forming the left lateral face of the body; a first sub lower face forming the first left lateral face of the first plate portion; and a second sub lower face forming the second left lateral face of the second plate portion. The lower punch comprises: a main upper face forming the right lateral face of the body; a first sub upper face forming the first right lateral face of the first plate portion; and a second sub upper face forming the second right lateral face of the second plate portion.
