Abstract:

A honeycomb structure body having a segment region where first honeycomb segments are joined by an adhesive material and second honeycomb segments. In a cross section of the honeycomb structure body, the second honeycomb segments are arranged on the outer periphery of the segment region and integrally joined to the region by an adhesive material. The cross-sectional area of the first honeycomb segments is set smaller than that of the second honeycomb segments.
