Abstract:
This hydraulic drive system is provided with a control valve device for an actuator, an operation device including an operation lever, a variable-capacity-type pump, and a flow rate adjustment device for controlling the discharge flow rate of the pump. The control valve device is configured so that the open area of a control valve reaches a reference open area when the incline angle of the operation lever is a predetermined value, and the open area of the control valve reaches a maximum open area when the incline angle of the operation lever is a maximum value. Until the incline angle of the operation lever reaches the predetermined value, the flow rate adjustment device increases the discharge flow rate of the pump in accordance with the incline angle of the operation lever so that the pressure difference between the discharge pressure of the pump and the load pressure of the actuator is constant; when the incline angle of the operation lever has reached the predetermined value, the flow rate adjustment device controls the discharge flow rate of the pump so that the flow rate through the control valve reaches the maximum flow rate of the actuator when the pressure difference is constant; and when the incline angle of the operation lever is between the predetermined value and the maximum value, the flow rate adjustment device regulates the maximum discharge flow rate of the pump so that the discharge flow rate of the pump is maintained at the maximum flow rate of the actuator.
