Title:
ID TAG AND READER/WRITER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/129357
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
When a congestion command is issued from a reader/writer, a multi-bit random number generator (10) of an ID tag 41 generates a random number. An operation unit (8) uses the random number to generate a pseudo-identifier a and returns it to the reader/writer. The reader/writer transmits a re-configuration command requesting re-operation of the pseudo-identifier to the ID tag 41. An operation unit (9) of the ID tag 41 uses the pseudo-identifier a and a unique ID to generate a pseudo-identifier ß and transmits it to the reader/writer. Subsequently, upon reception of a read/write command or other command from the reader/write, the ID tag 41 compares the pseudo-identifier ß held in a memory provided in a command control circuit (7), for example, to the pseudo-identifier ß specified for the reader/writer. If they coincide, the command is accepted. The ID tag 41 accepts the command and response is returned from the ID tag 41, recognition of the ID tag 41 is complete.
