Abstract:
A backlight device (12) includes: a chassis (14) having mounting holes (32, 33); a cold cathode tube (17) arranged in the chassis (14); and a lamp clip (18) which is mounted on the chassis (14) through the mounting holes (32, 33) and can hold the cold cathode tube (17). The lamp clip (18) has: a body unit (27) arranged in the chassis (14); base units (30a, 31a) which protrude out of the chassis from the body unit (27) through the mounting holes (32, 33); and mounting units (30, 31) formed by sandwiching units (30b, 31b) which protrude from the base units (30a, 31a) toward the body unit (27) and can sandwich end portions of the mounting holes (32, 33) between the base units (30a, 31a) and the body unit (27). The chassis (14) has: reception units (39, 40) which are formed by expanding outward a portion adjacent to the side of the chassis (14) opposite to the end portions of the mounting holes (32, 33) sandwiched by the sandwiching units (30b, 31b) and can receive the mounting units (30, 31); and an abutment unit (43) which is formed by partially expanding the reception units (39, 40) inward and can be brought into abutment with the mounting units (30, 31).
