Abstract:
An image formation device capable of forming a color image and forming a mono-color image such as black at a speed higher than the color image formation. Along the go-around route of an intermediate transfer belt (30), image formation units of three colors (31, 32, 33) are arranged so that a color image is formed by the tandem method and transferred to a printing sheet. A monochromatic image formation unit (28) transfers a monochromatic toner image by black toner onto the printing sheet. A fixation unit (29) simultaneously applies heat and pressure to the color and monochromatic toner image so as to be fixed. In the operation mode for forming only a monochromatic image, the intermediate transfer belt (30) can be displaced apart from the printing sheet convey route by an actuator (39). Control of each component when forming an image is performed by a controller (40).
