Abstract:
There are provided an imaging device for accurately generating a high-resolution image by using image data having a small number of pixels and a method for increasing the image resolution. An optical system forms an optical image at an imaging unit (101) and the formed image is spatially dispersed, sampled, converted into an image signal, and recorded in a recording unit (105). Moreover, the timing when the image was imaged by the imaging unit (101) is recorded in an imaging timing recording unit (107). The weight coefficient for the acquired image is calculated in a weight calculation unit (104) by using the timing information acquired by the imaging timing recording unit (107). A resolution increase unit (106) generates a high-resolution image by using the image weight information generated in the weight calculation unit (104).
