Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program that make it possible to highly accurately estimate the azimuth of a moving object by using only an inertial measurement unit (IMU) while the moving object is moving. This information processing device: calculates at least one of the acceleration and the velocity of a moving object in a reference coordinate system on the basis of inertial navigation computation; calculates at least one of the acceleration and the velocity in a moving object coordinate system, which is a coordinate system in the moving object, from at least one of the acceleration and the velocity in the reference coordinate system; and identifies a rotation component or an absolute azimuth on the basis of at least one of the acceleration and the velocity in the moving object coordinate system, and reference information for at least one of the acceleration and the velocity serving as a non-holonomic constraint that constrains the degree of freedom of at least one of six axes related to the attitude and the velocity of the moving object. The present disclosure is applicable to inertial navigation devices.
