Abstract:
A light control sheet according to the present invention is provided with: a light control layer that comprises an organic polymer layer which has a plurality of voids and a liquid crystal composition with which the voids are filled; a pair of transparent electrode layers; and a pair of transparent support layers. The liquid crystal composition contains a liquid crystal compound and a dichroic dye; the light control layer is sandwiched between the pair of transparent electrode layers; the light control layer and the pair of transparent electrode layers are sandwiched between the pair of transparent support layers; the light control sheet is switched from a transparent state to an opaque state that takes on a first color by means of an alignment change of the liquid crystal compound and the dichroic dye in accordance with a change of the potential difference between the pair of transparent electrode layers; and the parallel light transmittance PTa in the opaque state and the parallel light transmittance PTb in the transparent state satisfy the relational expression PTb/PTa > 80.
