Abstract:
A light-emitting device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with: an insulating layer having a first surface and a second surface opposing each other; a plurality of columnar structures each comprising a columnar crystalline structure of a first conductivity type rising vertically with respect to the first surface of the insulating layer, and an active layer and a semiconductor layer of a second conductivity type which are layered in this order on the side surface and the upper surface of the columnar crystalline structure; and a light-shield member provided between the plurality of columnar structures and having an inclined surface of less than 90° with respect to the first surface.
