Abstract:
This line-of-sight detection device comprises: a light source that irradiates a subject's eye with detection light; an imaging unit that captures an image of the eye irradiated with the detection light; a position detection unit that, from the captured image, detects the position of the center of the pupil and the position of the center of corneal reflection; a cornea curvature radius derivation unit that, on the basis of a curvature radius table indicating a relationship between positions on the cornea and cornea curvature radiuses, derives a cornea curvature radius corresponding to the detected position of the center of corneal reflection; and a line-of-sight processing unit that uses the detected position of the center of corneal reflection and the derived cornea curvature radius to calculate the line of sight of the subject. The line-of-sight processing unit calculates a straight line connecting the light source and the center of corneal reflection; calculates, as the center of cornea curvature, a position that, on the calculated straight line, is apart from the center of corneal reflection by a distance corresponding to the cornea curvature radius derived by the cornea curvature radius derivation unit, and in the opposite direction from the light source; and calculates, as the line of sight, a line-of-sight vector connecting the center of cornea curvature and the center of the pupil.
