Abstract:
Provided is a liquid collection instrument that makes it possible to accurately collect a predetermined amount of liquid and easy to handle same, and that shortens the time required to collect liquid and to drain same. The liquid collection instrument comprises an annular body section surrounding a central axis and extending in a longitudinal direction of the central axis. The body section is provided with an upper end opening at an upper end, a lower end opening at a lower end, and a hollow section linking the upper end opening and the lower end opening. The body section has an outer wall and an inner wall. The inner wall has a reversed tapered shape where the cross-sectional area of the hollow section perpendicular to the central axis gradually increases going downward, and comprises a plurality of projections that extend downward from the inner wall of the body section and are arranged so as to be rotationally symmetrical relative to the central axis. Liquid, having been sucked up by capillary action from between the plurality of projections, is retained within the hollow section of the body section.
