Abstract:
A liquid crystal display, a colorful filter substrate (1), a thin film transistor substrate (2) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The thin film transistor substrate (2) includes a matrix of pixels and transparent electric conductive material (22). The matrix of pixels includes a plurality of thin film transistor units (210), pixel electrodes (211) and metal signal lines (212). The transparent electric conductive material (22) is arranged on the matrix of pixels and spaced by a protection layer (202), and correspondingly covers the areas of the thin film transistor units (210) and the metal signal lines (212). Moreover, a voltage difference between the transparent electric conductive material (22) and a common electrode (12) on the colorful filter substrate (1) is less than an initial voltage of the liquid crystal molecules. Therefore, the liquid crystal material between the transparent electric conductive material (22) and the common electrode (12) can keep a vertical state to shade light when it is driven by an insufficient voltage difference, so that replaces the function of a black matrix.
