Abstract:
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal polymer resin. The liquid crystal polymer resin comprises the following repeating units in molar percentage: 0.5-30 mol% of repeating unit as shown in formula (I), 30-55 mol% of repeating unit as shown in formula (II), 20-25 mol% of repeating unit as shown in formula (III), 20-23 mol% of repeating unit as shown in formula (IV), and 0-2 mol% of repeating unit as shown in formula (V). The liquid crystal polymer resin of the present invention has a melting point of about 300°C and dielectric loss less than 0.002, which facilitates surface roughening after subsequent processing and molding of a finished piece. A liquid crystal polymer composition prepared by using the liquid crystal polymer resin of the present invention is molded, by means of injection, into a molding body for which surface metallization is required, and achieves surface metallization by means of surface roughening, electroless nickel plating, an electroplating functional metal layer, and a protective layer. The binding force between a coating and an injection molding body can reach grade 0 or above after being evaluated by means of a well-known method, i.e., "cross-cut test".
