The present invention relates to the technology for handover between an unlicensed mobile access network and a cellular communication network. According to the first aspect of the present invention, a method for handing over the communication connection from an unlicensed mobile access network to a cellular communication network in a mobile terminal is provided, the method comprises the following steps: acquiring the location information and/or moving direction and/or moving velocity of said terminal (301); determining the handover timing or handover probability of said handover at least partly according to said location information, moving direction and moving velocity (302); initiating the communication connection between said mobile terminal and said cellular communication network for handover preparation when said handover timing is less than a preset value or said handover probability is more than a preset value (303); performing said handover (304). The handover between an unlicensed mobile access network and a cellular communication network is performed by using the method, apparatus and equipment of the present invention, which is combined with the relating information of the mobile terminal location, thus the reliability of the handover is improved.
