Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for protecting digital content using display output signal information are disclosed. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for protecting digital content using display output signal information includes the steps of acquiring display output signal information of an analog device connected to a client, comparing the acquired display output signal information with the display output signal information of a preset analog device, and suspending reproduction of digital content if the acquired display output signal information corresponds to the display output signal information of the preset analog device. The present invention protects digital content even when digital content is output via an analog device, and prevents digital content from being output via an analog device from being stored again by using another device.
