Title:
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING NON-AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY CELL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/031390
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method for controlling a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell with which it is possible to suppress deterioration in cycle characteristics when two of the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cells are used in a serial connection. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell is provided with a positive electrode containing a lithium transition metal oxide having a laminar crystal structure, a negative electrode containing a spinel-type lithium-titanium complex oxide, and a non-aqueous electrolyte filling an outer package material, the positive electrode and the negative electrode being such that 1.0>X (where X is the actual capacitance ratio (B/A), A being the actual capacitance (mAh) per cm2 of area of the positive electrode at 25°C, and B being the actual capacitance (mAh) per cm 2 of area of the negative electrode at 25°C). The discharge cutoff voltage is set at 3.4-4.6V when two of the non-aqueous electrolyte cells are used in a serial connection.
