Abstract:
A method for evaluating deterioration of a storage battery, the method including fitting discharge curves of a positive electrode and a negative electrode to a discharge curve of a storage battery to thereby estimate deterioration parameters, wherein the method also includes: assessing whether or not the health of the storage battery is higher than a prescribed value; and searching a single set of deterioration parameters if the health of the storage battery is higher than the prescribed value, or assessing that the storage battery has deteriorated over time and searching a plurality of sets of deterioration parameters if the health of the storage battery is equal to or lower than the prescribed value. This makes it possible to estimate the deterioration parameters of the storage battery, evaluate the deterioration of the storage battery, and predict the service life of the storage battery.
